All I need to know about global warming I can deduce from Earth's revolution and rotation. In the course of a day, the earth will cool about 20 degrees on the shaded side. In the course of a year at my latitude, the daily temperature will oscillate 70 degrees. The direct cause is the relation to the sun. All the other astronomical and geological causes are small decorations on the cake.

Global warming is not science. It's politics. It's purpose is to enrich hustlers and empower socialists.

Nothing but complete garbage is associated in any way with salon.com.

I don’t know why anyone would want to spend the effort to click on a link that has the site included in any way - even at Free Republic.

I’m doing it for the purpose of asking the question - why does any conservative give them the traffic ... or is FR filling up with trolls?

No troll here. But to the meat of your comment, most of the time you would be correct — Salon is not worth posting here on FR. But Bill Nye is such a deplorable figure, passing himself off as a premier scientist on this subject, that he acts as a lightning rod for those scientists and those who have educated themselves on the issue. Unfortunately his rhetoric is accepted as true by those folks (especially the young) with heads full of mush. The wealth of negative comments on this article helps expose him to others.

To your greater point, from the earliest days of FR we have posted articles (or excerpts from them) from websites that are not conservative (LA Times, WA Post and NY Times come to mind). From the volume of comments on my post, I’d say that many read the whole article at Salon and I would expect that one or more FR members contributed to the negative comments on that article.

No offense intended; in your shoes I would've defended myself, as I too loathe the pseudo psi guy.

The reason for my outburst was that I've gotten to the point that merely reading that the source of a piece was sa**n is enough to preclude me from clicking the link to open the FR posting. I'm seeing way too many of inane, obviously anti- anything and everything that was good about the U.S.A. posted from that site.
