I just watched most of the Donald Trump SNL stint on Youtube while doing other things. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. All I gotta say is, "Where is the eye bleach????"
Now I know that throwing out my TV set almost 40 years ago was the right thing to do. It is frightening to contemplate that most people spend many hours of their day watching stupid filth on TV. And even more frightening to contemplate that what they see on this portal from the city sewers forms the basis for most of their opinions.
This SNL show was so nauseating and just such plain dirt that I had to wonder why Donald Trump would associate himself with this nonstop pageant of brainless excrement.
Does anyone have a clue as to why Donald Trump would so lower himself by hosting this inane garbage? I sincerely hope he took a long hot shower and used plenty of soap after taping, lest he bring home any hitchhiker particles of fecal material from the set.

It was great! The late night college crowds are won over. No one can criticize him now without people thinking there’s a joke buried in it somehow.
Asking non-rhetorically…what do you think his association with them will produce?
SOS that dear leader Obama has created. Racial tension and strife among people who should be united as Americans enough to live peacefully and respect each other. You have got to be kidding that you are oblivious to that without an explanation.
Personally if I was worried about that at all I would hate Carson. Where are the signs he’s a Muslim sympathizer? His whole mantra seems to be blacks should work hard and not wait for handouts…anthem to Obama’s way. Right?
Lighten up, Francis. What did you expect, the cast of SNL to fawn over him? Trump went right into the lion’s den, NBC late night dumb comedy show. He knew the risk and went right through it and owned them. Imagine what he’ll do with the risks facing us today.
Yep, that and 25 cents will get him a cup of coffee. Cruz doesn’t need to win over conservative voters, he has to win over enough of the rest to win.
I don’t base my opinions on what you worry about. Have no idea of his true thoughts on Muslims I just don’t like his Farrakhan association. I seem to remember another black man who everyone lauded for his statements that blacks should better raise children and work hard. That sterling image dissolved for Bill Cosby.
The great thing about America is we can vote as we wish and hope fraud doesn’t negate it. So your vote for Carson is your vote. He won’t get mine.
The last time I enjoyed SNL, there were guys named Belushi, Akroyd, Murray..
I think many of us here share that memory...hence the angst with the current show....our nostalgia is quite often met with disappointment when we try to compare. Like your tagline, BTW.
Agreed. SNL used to have a 2or 3 very funny comedians who brought to the show some of their existing characters. Martin short, Mike Meyers , etc Come to mind. My problem with the show has always been that many of the regulars were just not FUNNY. Telling a joke is a craft that can be learned, to be sure, but some people seem to be born with that ability. Or at the very least they learn it from their parents and/or siblings from the moment they open their eyes to the world. It’s part of them. All of us have a family member who can make us laugh and several others in our immediate family who can’t.
SNL seems to have only 1 of those true funny people a season and the rest of the cast are wanna-bees. That’s why I pass.

SNL made Trump look sane compared to themselves.
The one bit that had me burst out laughing was when, in 2018, the Mexican president hands President Trump a check to pay for the wall.
Trump handled everything just fine. I DVR the show and skip the musical guest. If anything, I thought Hillary got hammered by the writers. The last sketch was awful but it came full circle with them slamming Bill Clinton.

Exactly right. Plus it seems amongst the PC crowd and the White guilt crowd that they don’t seem to be capable of or want to back someone White anymore. Why you might be considered a White racist if you vote for your own kind.
One of the worst aspects of multiculturalism is lack of pride about your own White race, you know, like virtually all of our founding fathers. We still are, at least for a little while longer in this country, the majority.
But PC and White guilt and a constant influx of third world immigrants into our country will change all that. And amongst some religious folk, they will support a Ben Carson based on re!igious bona fides over what the rest of his policy issues and positions may be.
This makes me very nervous as that’s what Muzzies do, religion trumps the state, nationalism, borders and the Constitution. That scares me and were Carson to win and become President we would once again be confronted with 4-8 more years of Black racial issues and more divisiveness; mark my words, that is exactly what will happen.
Because Carson is soft spoken and religious (I thought Seventh Day Adventists were considered cult-like by Evangelicals), his apparent departure from the truth and exaggerations are overlooked, and, not that he can help it, he would be following another Black man into office, and all the racial divisiveness would continue ad nauseum.
The Black Lives Matter movement will ramp up and guilt trip Carson into bad policy decisions, and he will cave to avoid being called an Uncle Tom. Nothing good would come of a Carson presidency for a myriad of reasons, both policy-wise and personality-wise.

My 20 yr old daughter still watches the show, the wife too come to think of it. I laughed out loud at the white house sketch, they didn’t know what’s so funny.
You have to follow this stuff to appreciate it. I’m sure there’s a few million out there that will be shocked to learn most of the jokes are based on reality.
I have to admit, though, watching "Tax Man" Trump dance was pretty frikking funny. But, again, the skit itself was stupid. It was the imagery of Trump dancing like that that made it funny.
Honestly, why is anyone surprised? Anyone who's researched Trump knows that he used to go on Howard Stern's show to talk about premature ejaculation and Paris Hilton's sex tape, and that he often uses "piece of ###" as a substitute term for woman.
