I just watched most of the Donald Trump SNL stint on Youtube while doing other things. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. All I gotta say is, "Where is the eye bleach????"
Now I know that throwing out my TV set almost 40 years ago was the right thing to do. It is frightening to contemplate that most people spend many hours of their day watching stupid filth on TV. And even more frightening to contemplate that what they see on this portal from the city sewers forms the basis for most of their opinions.
This SNL show was so nauseating and just such plain dirt that I had to wonder why Donald Trump would associate himself with this nonstop pageant of brainless excrement.
Does anyone have a clue as to why Donald Trump would so lower himself by hosting this inane garbage? I sincerely hope he took a long hot shower and used plenty of soap after taping, lest he bring home any hitchhiker particles of fecal material from the set.
We’ll see from polls if this had the desired effect. Still, I hope it is an exception for Trump rather than the rule.
Sometimes one does need to risk being viewed as a monster, when the alternative is to lie down as a doormat to something that is manifestly wrong. “Daddy you hate me!” but later to discover that Daddy knew something the child didn’t and actually kept the child from being harmed worse than an uncomfortable encounter.
You realize that’s an actual movie...and it comes out a couple of weeks before caucuses.
“Am I losing my sense of humor?”
SNL hasn’t been funny since 1982.
If Carson was on ticket, would Farrakhan or Sharpton get a cabinet position? Nope he is a soft spoken, nice man with horrible taste in associates not Presidential material in a country that has been so wrecked by racism of Obama. How would we heal?
I wonder if Larry David will get paid the $5K for saying Trump is a racist?
Because stupid people make up a large part of the electorate and he needs to siphon as many votes from Hitlery as he can.
Magnificent Cruz poster. He should use it.
I agree SNL live isn’t worth watching but Trump made it worth while. Maybe not to you or me but to younger undecided voters. A little self deprecating humor doesn’t hurt.
The $5,000 being paid to say Trump was a racist at part of the opening did make my laugh. It actually rang, true. I also thought the Mexican President giving Donald a check that was for more than the cost of the wall was funny, too. And the bit about the wall making for good neighbors. However, most of it was dull, dull, dull.
I kinda disagree. From what Trump said to BOR, he walked into a room where there were dozens upon dozens of very young comedy writers. They presented skits, and he picked.
I can tell you that, I’m sure, he nixed 95% because it was bad.
FAct is, these people are not funny and haven’t been for a long long time.
I think SNL jumped the shark when they did a tasteless parody of Karen Carpenter, mocking her volemia after she was dead. I havenât watched it since.
A part from a few opening skits...it was terrible writing, and to think they have a hundred writers?
They need to pair it down to a couple, and start over.
The actors, are talented, to get to that level you have to go through a lot of improve, but still if the writing is bad, itâs bad. It was nothing more than pee pee, ka ka stuff at the end.
It looked like they threw this together in just a few days.
The bottom line, SNL shows that modern comedy is really hate filled humor.
These people couldnât carry Jack Benny, JOhnny, Henny Youngman or countless otherâs shoes.
In short, I laughed only a couple times, then fast forwared it about half way through.
The singer Seeya (good name for her), was like a bad Lady Gaga Tribute act.
Hereâs my take of the funniest of the show, all at the beginning mostly, and thankfully so, because most of the people in Iowa were probably asleep when the garbage hit towards the end. I can’t believe this is on TV. THis is the kind of stuff you’d expect at a Chicago Stand Up comedy club. Seriously.
Anyway, there were a few funny moments:
1. 2018 Oval Office skit. Pretty good for the most part, and the funniest is when the President of Mexico comes in with his monthly payment to Trump for the wall. lol
Trump says, âEnrique, thank you, but yOu paid too much!â
He says, âNonsense, nothing brings neighbors together more than a wall.â Or something like that.
2. The guy yelling âracistâ was good.
3. Trump standing next to the two guys doing him was sorta funny when you see it the second time. It shows that Trump is a good sport, no doubt. Fallon’s impression is the best.
4. Mistaking one of the cast for Rosie O Donnell was funny. I wonder if Trump actually made that one up.
I think a skit of Trump with Hillary would have been funny, but he probably nixed it.
They had Trump dancing up there, which was probably a parody of some Rapper’s Video, and of course he looked ridiculous, but he was having fun.
5. The guy doing Sanders was hilarious. Esp when he said, “I’m not taking big donations, in fact I only want small change donors, nickels and pennies, and not those new shiney pennies, but the ones that have gunk on them. I want everyone to go their closet and pull out their vacuum cleaners on the floor, and pull out all the pennies you can find and send them to me.” lol
6. They make Hillary out to look like an old senile angry alcoholic hag. I mean, there is definitely an undercurrent of anger. She is not a loveable character at all, at least Trump is naturally funny and even likable if you give him a chance.
Samauri Whatever..was wonderfully funny in the old days!
Nice to see Trump’s wonderful daughter appearing with him..what a gal! Way above the Obozo girls..what’s their names? Socko and Malware??
CArson has no political skills or managerial skills, OTOH, look at Cruz. He could carry an agenda as VP. Trump/Cruz, and frankly I think the two have already talked about it.
SNL ought to hire you. That line is funnier than anything I've seen/heard from them in years.
You nailed it! REad my comments too.
I slept through it but several days ago I looked the ‘musical guest’ up on youtube because I had never heard of it since I don’t listen to that type of music. If the live performance was as weird as the videos I attempted to watch....I assume you have to be on crack or something to like it?
He will replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg and be promoted to CJ when the truth about Roberts comes out.
+1
Definitely gonna check out the youtube videos when someone puts them up. I am going took right now for the Larry David one. I liked Curb your Enthusiasm. It had it moments. I hope it returns. Cheryl Hines was good in it and look who she married. Holy cow!!! What a bunch of ultra-loony libs
Larry Davids ex-wife (certifiable loony) admitted she flew around in a private jet to global warming events/conferences. Hypocrites!
Thanks for that, I wasn’t going to watch a whole hour of it just to see a few minutes of Trump, but maybe will after reading your review.
