Heavy duty metal flake paint job. Not sure if this is the same one as the 2-tone above.

I love me some 70’s era fat metal flake, but in red or blue or green - not brown. Sparkly brown looks like polished turd.

Thanks, that was actually very interesting.

Didn’t the Robby the Robot from “Forbidden Planet” get used in several other movies?

Yes, in a sequel of sorts called “The Invisible Boy.” Robby also appeared as an antique shop item in “Gremlins,” I think. Made many TV appearances including “Lost in Space” and many episodes of “Twilight Zone.”

The Batmobile itself was a rehash of the Lincoln Futura.

Very interesting. I have no experience with custom cars but helped move the National Motorcycle Museum and some of the custom bikes were virtually unridable props.

Knew both of them..

Stopped by Barris’s shop occasional and hung out in Von Dutch's one car shop in Hollywood for a few beers quite often in the early 50s.

I remember the ‘Muynsters’ episode where Grandpa built “Dragula”. One of my favorite lines....”The exhaust pipes are made from an organ. It’s the only dragster that plays ‘O Promise Me’ in third gear!”

Ten bent velocity stacks on a V-8.

Who does this?

Some of the fun I've had in my life was due to Mr. Barris. Thanks George.

The Original Black Beauty is bad ass!

Yup! A 1965 (or was it '66) Chrysler Imperial with bullet proof glass, rocket launchers, and remote controlled drones with a camera (called the Sentinel).

The museum in Anamosa? Some of the vintage bikes there are unreal.
