I never wear makeup unless we are going out. My husband doesn’t really like it.

A lot of men don’t really like it. One of my husbands , like yours, didn’t like it either. In fact he said it was one of the reasons I caught his eye. Some men just don’t like “wearing” secondhand makeup on their face or clothes. Makes sense to me. Another thing they don’t like is a woman’s hair to feel like brittle straw because of “teasing” and spraying it. Can’t blame them there either.
I hear you. It’s one of the things that I liked about my husband early on.
I think a lot of that is because many women either use horrid colors and look like a clown, or apply it with a slingshot. Otherwise we can put up with a lot of little crap like that.
Some women look great without it. My wife never wore makeup. Basically no one ever taught her how to do it right so she didn’t. Looked fantastic. Got compliments and hit on regularly. Many women like that.
One day a friend of hers who was a pro beautician ragged her into letting her do a full blown glam job.
Jesus. Staggering difference. Looked ethereal. But it took 2 hours to apply and there was no way in hell she would deal with doing that on a daily basis. So she had to stick with simply looking great naturally ;)
