I think a lot of that is because many women either use horrid colors and look like a clown, or apply it with a slingshot. Otherwise we can put up with a lot of little crap like that.
Some women look great without it. My wife never wore makeup. Basically no one ever taught her how to do it right so she didn’t. Looked fantastic. Got compliments and hit on regularly. Many women like that.
One day a friend of hers who was a pro beautician ragged her into letting her do a full blown glam job.
Jesus. Staggering difference. Looked ethereal. But it took 2 hours to apply and there was no way in hell she would deal with doing that on a daily basis. So she had to stick with simply looking great naturally ;)
Yeah, it’s crazy how much difference makeup can make.
Not long ago a FR thread about some model tickled me. A few guys were saying, oh, she’s beautiful, and she isn’t even wearing any makeup. There were a few females present, too, and we had to point out, “She’s wearing concealer, and blush, and brow pencil, and mascara...also eye shadow, and some clear lip gloss.” LOL
We Southern girls do enjoy fixing up and looking good, and we don’t apologize for it.
(And I am sure your redheaded bride was naturally lovely, makeup or no makeup).
