KC is just showing off now. They are putting the hurt on the Mets.

Up by 5. One still on and one out.

Yogi from up above: Eh, it’s over no!

Poor fans, can’t even go into the bottom half with some hope now.

At least “Empire” will be on this Wednesday. Do you like “Empire”, Pete?

Thirty years ago I was in the stadium on the third base line going nuts in game seven’s blow-out.

Holly cow. The home guys just scored 3 more. I can’t describe the elation. Born and raised in a small town here in Missouri and longtime Royals fan. Don’t get much better. Feel sorry for the New Yorkers (not really...)

Now if this were the Rangers, I would definitely say that it’s not over.

Clippard and Reed are the team's weakest links. It's a great team, but having good setup men is important.

you are also dead wrong about Reed- he has a 1.17 ERA with the Mets and has given up a single hit in five innings pitched in the WS and NLCS..(2 hits/1 run in the NLDS).

In his last two appearances, Reed retired all six(?) batters that he faced but he wasn't fooling anybody. The outs were loud. As I said several hours ago I didn't think Reed was reliable at this point in time.

Here's the problem for the Mets: if you can get to their starting pitching--they're done. A not-so-great bullpen and the Royals lineup being a bunch of contact hitters makes it difficult for the Mets to win.

It has for sure. I really feel old because I saw the A’s thief first year and Kaufman was a Cub leader with my dad before the Royals were even a dream.

I am a Yankee fan. I remember the championship games between the Yankees and the Royals. I remember George Brett (God, I hated him). I remember Chris Chambliss. (You must remember him). Has it really been thirty years? It seems like only yesterday.
