I would like to request your Prayers and thoughts for myself, and my family for the very unexpected passing of my wife.
Many of you have seen me refer to her as Mrs. Rikkir, but her name was Patsy. She was 55, and mother to one daughter, and Mee Maw to three grandsons.
She was a KY farm girl, who took a stupid NC city boy, and, 29 years ago, pulled him from a self destructive path, and instead gave him a path of love and responsibility.
She was universally loved by almost all who met her. I have fielded messages from hundreds (approx. 400) of people who essentially have said the same thing.
She "mothered" the young ones, and "sistered" the older ones.
We lived several places, and traveled the US as Professional Drivers (Pro Tourists), so the outpouring of love has been from all over the country.
She had some treated hypertension, and treated slight cholesterol increases. She had no other health issues except for being slightly overweight.
She complained Thursday of feeling like she might be coming down with a cold. Went to bed at 5:30 pm to get up in time for her 3rd shift job.
At 7:30 pm she was gone.
I don't go into all this detail for any other reason than to remind all to never waste a second. Don't ever forget to tell those important to you that they ARE! It's the one thing that has helped me more than anything else in this tragedy. We never left anything unsaid between us. We ALWAYS said "I Love You" before one of us left, or one of us went to sleep, and we meant it. We never went to sleep still angry at each other.
She left this place knowing how much I and her family and friends loved her, and for that I am thankful.
I felt it was important to let you, my FRiends know what happened, as I count all of you as friends even though we've never met. I have much more honest, and frank discussion here than I have with most that I see everyday.
Although Patsy wasn't a FReeper, she believed as we do, and laughed countless times at the brilliant Freeper humor.
At this time I ask for an arm to lean on, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to reminisce to, a Prayer for strength, and the continued hope and optimism from Free Republic that will propel me forward.
I am so sorry you have my prayers I pray our heavenly father to give you and your family comfort I ask this in the name of Jesus of Christ our Lord and savior.
Prayers for you and your family, mate. All the best from this side of the mountains, and don’t forget you have lots of people here that you can talk to.

Prayers for you during this most difficult time in your life. I am so sorry about the loss of your wife.
My sincere condolences to you and the family. There are no words that can comfort you but I do know the Lord can. May his arms wrap around of you and to know one day you shall see her again. She simply change residency that is all. Your post has shown to us how short life is. Right now we are posting our condolences but one never knows after we finish posting we could slip into another life quickly.
God Bless you and your family and know there are many Freepers who are keeping you folks in their prayers.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear wife. It sounds like she was a lovely woman, and that you shared a wonderful marriage.
I’ll be praying for divine peace, comfort, and strength for you.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for courage and comfort and strength for you.
Someone in Texas is praying for you and your family.
May Jehovah God heal and strengthen YouAll.
We ask it in The Name of Jesus The Christ.
I lost my spouse at the age of 54. They are never far from you as they stay in our hearts and thoughts.
Prayers from Texas for you and the family. God Bless each and every one. Prayers said.
Thank you all so much, and I apologize that I can’t respond to all your kind word personally as usual.
I am bouncing between so many tasks for the next few days that all I have time to do is sneak in for a peek, and a quick thank you.
But believe this. I already feel God’s strength emanating from this place.
Heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for God to comfort you.
What a lovely description of your wife’s passing. It is very thoughtful of you to let us know the details because it shows we don’t have to suffer and put our loved ones through a long drawn-out illness and worry. You’re right, this was a special woman.
And one more thing. Grief can be healed. It can be healed instantaneously. There’s no reason we must feel bad at the passing of a wife or husband or any loved one, especially one so filled with love as your wife. How grateful you must be to have shared so much time with someone like Patsy.
God is in control. All, all is well.
Prayers for you, your family and friends. Very sorry and sad to read this.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort bless you during this time.
May God give you comfort and her rest.
The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you;
He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.(Deuteronomy 31:8, NIV)
