I have found a work around for the problem. This is not a fix but it will do until one comes along.

It seems not all characters that work in Windows can be properly interpreted by HTML5. I replaced the appropriate letter, say é with the appropriate text string that HTML5 can interpret. In this case, &eacute_; (remove the underscore).

As you can see from my signature block below, it works until a solution comes along.

Thanks for the explanation. I knew it was a accented character issue, but not the cause.
