Have been an Allman junkie since growing up in Florida in the 70s - seen them and iterations of them many, many times - never a bad show, ever.
I still spin vinyl, and Live at Fillmore East is my fav (above even Electric Ladyland and Horses).
Great albums-—”Surrealistic Pillow” and “Are You Experienced” still two of my faves. When you listen to these, you realize it wasn’t just the songs, or just the playing, but that they all captured an era of new expression in music that hasn’t been matched since.
