INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metro Police officers say "multiple" people were injured in a shooting inside Washington Square Mall on the Indianapolis east side.
It's happening at 10202 E. Washington Street. Several police cars are currently parked outside the southeast entrance of the mall, near the Target store.
Police say three, maybe four, people were struck by gunfire. Their conditions are unknown.
The mall, a former Simon Malls property, is now operated by Jones Lang Lasalle.
An Indianapolis woman tweeted this post about being injured in the shooting, but so far WTHR has not confirmed details of any injuries.
Haven’t been to an indoor mall in about 25 years.
“jammed food COURTS”
The malls in my area accessible by mass transit have become those where white people used to shop; since Wal-Mart is basically a mall in and of itself, the mall concept will go the way of the dodo.
I’m about 50 miles south of Indy.
â...a man in a mask started shooting.â
“OK, so this was intentional mayhem, not some private beef that got out of control.”
Probably a semi-planned gang hit.
With those groups knowing they would not be persecuted.
you know naming a store ‘Target’ is a microaggression.
The peasants are getting restless. No land, no property, no job, no money, no voice, no justice. The tyrants are very afraid, so, the rubes have to be disarmed.
Wasn’t Century III used in a Romero zombie flick when it opened?
This was the same mall that had the Burlington Coat factory with the attempted hold up last month.
It’s a pity because Washington Square and that far east side of Indianapolis used to be a real gem of the city. The factories closing on the eastside did the first damage but desegregation with forced busing and then section 8 apartments turned the whole place AND school system into a cesspool. (The city defended the more wealthier north and south populations letting the east and west sides (Washington Square and Lafayette Square) collapse. Castleton Square is now falling rapidly. Leaving only the extreme donut counties malls (greenwood, Hamilton Town Center, which don’t have direct bus routes from the city) relatively safe.
Machiavellian
This is generally a no-go area, abandoned by civilized people decades ago. I haven’t heard any more news as fart as the story, but my money is on hood rats scrapping
It may as well be a zombie affair... we will wind up having to mow them down to survive.
Yeah, one of the worst section 8 apartments is right across the street from the mall (and the residences of the robbers who broke into Don’s Guns store ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN - by Lafayette Square - several years back - http://www.wthr.com/story/8739508/suspects-questioned-in-dons-guns-heist )
haha.. I said fart. Sorry, it was obviously supposed to be “far”

âToo often, law enforcement gets scapegoated for the broader failures of our society and criminal justice system,â Obama
also ,to paraphrase, that society expects police to control broader problems stemming from unemployment, substandard education, inadequate drug treatment programs and lenient gun laws.
What the heck is that? What other proof does one need of Obama’s delusion?
A video probably caused this.
I’m over to the NE in Muncie. We have a Simon mall here.
Believe the wife and I went to that Indy mall once, quite a few years ago.
Isn’t that the one where you feel like you stepped onto the set of `Boyz In The Hood’?
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it was a little tense.
Not giving a Derbyshire talk, just sayin’
(clearing throat) Go Royals!
“Probably a semi-planned gang hit.”
That seems to comport with what the cops think.
The Walking Dead could be filmed there now at any time and not affect business at all.
