INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metro Police officers say "multiple" people were injured in a shooting inside Washington Square Mall on the Indianapolis east side.
It's happening at 10202 E. Washington Street. Several police cars are currently parked outside the southeast entrance of the mall, near the Target store.
Police say three, maybe four, people were struck by gunfire. Their conditions are unknown.
The mall, a former Simon Malls property, is now operated by Jones Lang Lasalle.
An Indianapolis woman tweeted this post about being injured in the shooting, but so far WTHR has not confirmed details of any injuries.
You don't have to work hard to guess which one this is.
(All the white folks in Indy go to Greenwood, Circle Center, or Castleton, and the high-end shoppers (with a surprising number of Asians that you don't see elsewhere in Indy) go to Clay or Keystone.)
You can see it every day. Things that were unthinkable 20, 15, 7 years ago are commonplace now. The violence is building in the background. It will soon become a crescendo.
What to do? Put some distance between yourself and any "urban area". Read my tagline. Govern yourself accordingly.
That mall is about a ghost town. Most Indy malls are on the way out.
“East” Indianapolis, East of I-465 was mainly middle-class working white 15 years ago.
After the all of the factories closed the area apartment complexes went Section 8, and it went downhill from there.
FAST...
Now it’s older white enclaves, surrounded by illegals and Obama voters.
Papa Roux’ is in Broad Ripple isn’t it? It is farther than a mile to Washington Square.
There’s a news video at the WTHR site but my sound doesn’t work...
“Papa Rouxâ is in Broad Ripple isnât it?”
Nope...
10th and Shadeland.
It is barely outside the eastern side of the 465 loop, but the "urban blight" hoods extend out that far on the east side, from about 61st St south past Washington St.
Did you get your 25% discount?
It is way to frequent to be a coincidence.
Even a liberal friend of mine says so.

One man was in critical condition at Methodist Hospital following the incident at the Washington Square Mall.
Debate has started....
Once people had the alternative to shop online (usually for a lot less money), the mall model was dead. This is just the natural evolution of human behavior. One mall here in northern NJ that was good 20 years ago has been reduced to opening a tattoo parlor; I haven’t been there since I watched a customer from the Indian subcontinent try on shoes with bare feet (he had been wearing sandals). They are now filled with foreigners, and many aren’t carrying packages (almost like they are visiting museums to late twentieth century capitalism); besides the jammed food carts, countless kiosks throughout the mall seem to be selling various snack foods.
We’ve come full circle here in NJ; we had a big mall built next to Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands, and it never opened; the stores that committed to opening there were opting for the minimum space outlined in their agreements, and it simply never opened. It is a real eyesore, with an indoor ski slope and all; the fact is the Greater Depression never ended here, and few people have any discretionary income anymore. Interestingly enough, you can stop at the Meadowlands Flea Market right next to it on Saturdays, and watch people buy everything imaginable second-hand (or knock-offs). It is sad to watch the Americans sell all of their tools to the foreigners who took their jobs...
Is that the place that just announced the 25% discount for CHL holders?
Probably the absolute safest place in Indy to have a meal, right now.”
“Not to mention, darn good food...”
Went in not expecting much, and I was pleasantly surprised. Big portions, tasty food, and unlimited free sides.
Police say three people, two men and a woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be random. One suspect wearing dark clothing reportedly fled the scene to the west. Police say there may be a second suspect.

Yes...
She doesn’t know how someone can just pull a gun out and shoot someone? Gee, maybe because criminals have guns and know the good guys will not have any in the mall to stop them. Duh.
Century III.
