As the BLACK comedian said (so it makes it okay).... there are two types of malls in America: those where the white people go, and those where the white people USED to go.
You don't have to work hard to guess which one this is.
(All the white folks in Indy go to Greenwood, Circle Center, or Castleton, and the high-end shoppers (with a surprising number of Asians that you don't see elsewhere in Indy) go to Clay or Keystone.)

The malls in my area accessible by mass transit have become those where white people used to shop; since Wal-Mart is basically a mall in and of itself, the mall concept will go the way of the dodo.

Yeah Circle Center is very safe ... well, except for the gangs. As for Castleton Square, uh, you should keep up on the news originating there. They had a wonderful situation last January, as I recall. Other fights and “brawls” routinely show up in the news.
