Spam, eh? Tell me do you pop into all of the Apple posts and feed them the same gripe or is it just Microsoft posts you show up to bitch about? I have seen many posts that I personally have no interest in but don’t feel the need to drop in and bitch about it. If you’re not interested just don’t get involved is what I say, admittedly after involving myself.
I'll jump in uninvited and stand up for doorgunner69 -- I seem to recall him commenting on Apple threads as well, and I have no reason to believe he's anti-Microsoft as such. I think he's concerned about proliferation of threads on "non-core" topics on FreeRepublic (where "core" topics are presumably the ones listed at the top of the pages: Prayer SCOTUS ProLife BangList Aliens StatesRights ConventionOfStates WOT HomosexualAgenda GlobalWarming Corruption Taxes Congress Fraud MediaBias GovtAbuse Tyranny Obama ObamaCare Elections Polls Trump Carson Cruz OPSEC Benghazi InfoSec BigBrother IRS Scandals TalkRadio TeaParty and so forth).
I could be mistaken, of course; if I've read his concern wrong, I hope he'll correct me.
Popped in on so many I got a feeling I was skirting with a ban. Perhaps you missed that, makes no difference to me.
I scan thread titles, only read what interests me. I admit irritation at blatant advertising, when I see a multiple string of thread titles about Apple stock prices or some new bauble, all in the same day, often within the same hour. Really, who gives a damn? My gut tells me someone is paid to post it, but who knows.
There are so many threads, without a way of filtering out this crap, you are forced to scroll through it to find what is of interest.
I agree completely.
Microsoft deserves an equal side. Sure this is pro-Microsoft propaganda, but there is already a bunch of pro-Apple propaganda.
Both sides deserve representation.
As does Linux, I might add. :D
