Need help deciding who to support for the Republican Primary
Posted on 10/25/2015 4:57:01 PM PDT by MagillaX
I am Wondering who to support in the Republican primary and what in the candidates past is driving your own support
I have been looking at the candidates and wondering what past event has persuaded people to support them.
This is where I am for myself so far.
Trump has the most Charisma and hits every one of my concerns and shows he understands the problems of the country. (which ticks me off in a way that they know what is exactly wrong). The problem is I am unaware of anything he has done in the past to try and fix it.
Jeb Bush I remember when he was Governor of Florida. He did a good job and I agreed with him with fighting for Terry Schiavo.
Ted Cruz, he is another who says what you want to hear and he does have a track record. Other than supporting the freedom act, I just dont know what it is.
Florina I only know was in business and is an unknown.
Rubio I am sure has a record of accomplishments but not sure what they are
Rand Paul, For me personally he was the only senator I saw waving from the senate building the last time I was at the march for life. And I also agreed with him on keeping the government in check with snooping.
Ben Carson is pushing on the cultural issues and has hit a chord with many people but only know of his achievements as a doctor.
I would like to know what policy or past behavior of the candidates makes you want to vote for them. Please do not start listing all the things you dont like about the person since I am only looking for what they have done that makes you want to vote for them. Thanks

Cruz is a Constitutional Conservative, has table manners, yet knows how to fight.

They're crazy right-wingers, so be sure to use words like 'Trump has the most charisma' and other junk. I'm counting on you to gather as much Intel as you can, OK?"

1. Jeb Bush did not help Terri Schiavo and turned his back on her family. Yes, he uttered some beautiful promises but failed to act, even lied that there was nothing he could do. Several on FR are from Florida and they can tell you the details, many of which were posted here at the time. According to his own words, he prefers Mexico over the U.S.
2. Marco Rubio is devious, might have health problems, and there are some ugly rumors about him - I don't know if they are true or not. It is hard to forget how convincingly he lied to voters and once elected went in the totally opposite direction. His stand on amnesty in unacceptable.
3. Carson lacks experience regarding creating jobs and economics. Also, he wants amnesty for illegals.
Amnesty and immigration is the most crucial problem facing the U.S. Sociology 101: for a country to survive, it has to control its borders and prevent from being overran by masses from incompatible cultures. Furthermore, the present influx of illegal aliens and immigrants from enemy nations weakens this country in many ways and takes away jobs - if one wanted to destroy the U.S., this is the easiest way.
No matter what one thinks of Ann Coulter, I highly recommend her book "Adios America."

He did a good job and I agreed with him with fighting for Terry Schiavo.LOL
He was Governor and his brother was POTUS and between the two of them they couldn't prevent some hack "Judges" and her evil husband from starving her to death over a two week period.
If the situation was reversed and Obama or even ANY other democrat was in charge, she would still be alive.
So if I were you, I would cross "JEB" off my list.
LOL!!!!!!!!!

I spend a lot of time following and thinking about the candidates and have a pretty clear picture about who’s acceptable and whos not but I’m not inclined to do your homework for you. I don’t take job assignments from questionable noobs.

Only Trump can stop the GOPeDemChamberofCommerceWallStreet Globalists. It's a
simple fact. There is no pathway for the non-CofC SuperPac-funded candidates (ie Cruz,
Carson, Paul). All the others are part of the Elite's plan to put their guy in (had been Bush,
but if he can't make it, then Rubio, and if he can't, they will back Seig Heillary).
Only Trump has the wherewithal to go the distance. Everyone needs to hold their noses,
register Republican in their states, and vote for Trump. It is our only chance.

I think the way to look at it is to figure out what is the first that each candidate is. E.g., Hillary would be the first woman to be president. Sanders would be the first Jew to be president.
With Bush, it would be the first time the third person from the same family would be president.
Rubio would be the first Hispanic to be president. He would also be the first person with no accomplishments to be president. Obama has 1 accomplishment, he gave a great speech at the 2004 democrat convention (/sarcasm).
Carson would be the first time someone with a major scientific accomplishment became president.
Cruz would be the first person to excite the base while taking money from the people the base hates.
Trump would the pron producer to be president.
So slim pickings all around. Good luck in figuring out who to vote for.
