ow would the College Football Playoff committee rank teams this week? Which four schools would make the playoff?
We use analytics to make an educated guess on the committee rankings. The Associated Press poll provides a baseline for the Top 25 teams before the committee releases its first poll. My algorithm then adjusts teams based on the most recent opponent and margin of victory.

Not a great slate of games coming up. One has Clemson playing THE U at the dead Sun Life Stadium. Given the game kicks off at Noon there will be lots of empty seats. The Volunteers will be visiting ‘Bama. The only game between two top 20 teams is between TAMU and reeling Ole Miss at Oxford.

If Baylor wanted they could probably put up 100 against Iowa State.

I would expect the Utes to be higher than Tide, and maybe Sparty.

I’d put LSU at #1, if they can do that through the air against Florida’s secondary, on top of having Fournette. I don’t see Bama beating them.

D matters.
WVa still hung 38 on Baylor.
Briles & Co has some work to do.

LSU only beat Florida because the Gators lost their qb. Roll Tide!

Dont count the gators out yet, the SEC East is weak, and in a rematch or game against the west champion, with their normal starting Quarterback, I Think the gators can win the SEC and get to the playoffs. Might be fun to watch them play the Suckeyes for the national championship.
And I say that as a gatorhator!

Grier is gone for the season, and probably half of next season, the suspension is for one calendar year.
I think Treon did OK, all things considered.

Ok, that said, I say Treon is only going to get better, and still think the Gators can win out in the SEC.

Michigan should be up there... Harbaugh's first game with a team that he didn't recruit, that went 5-7 last year, and they almost beat #4 Utah, in Utah...
But for the botched punt snap of the decade on Saturday, they'd be on everyone's list. I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off of the floor, clearly.
(I'm more of a Harbaugh fan than a Wolverine fan.)

I think we should win out. I think LSU is the best of the SEC West.
Interesting, that if Florida and LSU meet in Atlanta, it would be the first time that the SEC Championship Game would be a rematch, that surprised me.

I’m still stunned. But I was impressed with how Harbaugh handled it after the game.
I think Michigan is going to take it out on Ohio State when they play them.

The Team is completely different when JT is at the Helm. The Defense also plays better. They feed off of his Leadership! That Game against Penn was Fun, and the Blackout was very Cool. The Black Uniforms were in a word Horrible!! Go Bucks! O-H!! ...
