I can remember this like it was yesterday. I just got home from work on the west coast and it was just after 5 when I opened a live thread and saw
TankerKC's post about the memos (which I saved for some reason).
I think several threads started up after that that zeroed in on the memos since not many people in the live thread caught the significance of the font and formatting and the conversation was all over the place.

If we had the internet and FREE REPUBLIC back in the 80’s when Rather and CBS were fabricating false stories about Vietnam vets we may have been able to end his career years before.
