I remember the Madonna centerfoldback in the '80's. Boy was that disappointing. I remember thinking her armpits were hairier than mine and she had no boobs (to speak of). What was I thinking?

And the interviews. Don't forget the interviews. Every once in a while, seriously, Playboy would have a very interesting piece. I still remember one called "100 things every college graduate should know" (and it wasn't cup size). It had to do with math theorums, poetry, historical events. Another was a very well done set of drawings that was a parody on WW II airplanes.
They had an Italian fighter that had propellers at both ends, landing gear going each way so that it could immediately change direction when Italy switched sides. Or the British "Heavy" bomber which looked like an armored fort.
