Now we know what goes on in the shallow end of those wildebeest crossings....
The original press release had photos from several angles, including, uh, of under the tail, and it shows a fairly normal water buffalo calf with a severe case of ichthyosis, "Alligator skin." The views of the head, being held in a normal position looked like a calf's head and its dentition were normal for ruminant calves.
