IIRC, she was in a regular staff meeting, then blasted the other people in the room. Then she called her husband to meet her out in the back parking lot and I’m pretty sure he wasn’t aware of what she had done. Or, maybe he knew, and the police were waiting with him. It’s been a few years since I saw it. Interesting, in any case.
I believe she had been slighted, or she perceived that she had been slighted, regarding her career.
