While it may not have the track record of those engines on this list, Im thus far pretty enamored with the 3.6 liter Chrysler Pentastar in my 2014 Rubicon. Just a few questions to see if that mill is in the running Does the engine require only full synthetic oils? Does the timing gears/chains need to be changed at a regular "service?" How many TSB's have been issued for software problems? Can you yank the engine and drop it in something else without changing every component known to man? Can you drop the pan and pull the heads in anywhere other than an operating theater?
