Sorry, but you missed the other application for sodium Hypochloritenamely as a water purifier. In that case, you are consuming the product in small amounts, and for a period of time. Once the sodium hypochlorite does it's purification job, which is basically killing bacteria and causing some precipitation of particulates, its half-life is long gone and it has converted to salt water and at the concentration used for such purposes, there will be none left at all.
