Just decided to restart a thread i made maybe 10 years ago.....Nothing is off limits....gear, favorite players, techniques, amps, effects...you name it, we can all discuss it.
I own numerous amps...SS and Tube Eventide effects, Hardwire and Line6.. I am mostly a Fender Telecaster guy but have a jazz box and various other.
Carry on!
Love old Vox!
Zombie thread, I know, but I just found this guy and had to share. Not a big fan of tapping, but this is another level! Check out this Indonesian guitarist. He is phenomenal!
No problem...enjoyed!
I don’t have a Fender Tele, but just bought a used Peavy Generations T-style guitar for cheap and waiting for it to ship. I think it’s a Korean-made guitar. Now I need to buy a good practice amp. Suggestions?
Look on ebay for a Vox Pathfinder 15R
THR10 is a super cool amp. Just bought a Boss Katana 100 2X12......What a little beast.
That will rattle some windows!
Yes it will....I like Boss/Roland company....always fine products at an affordable price.
I must have your D-18’s brother. The tones get sweeter with each passing decade, my FRiend.
Thanks, Chasio, for this thread ... I missed out on your previous one.
I played Gibson’s for years. My favorite was a 1976 Marauder Custom. Fastest neck I ever played on my life. I payed $100 bucks for that guitar as someone had taken a wood burner to it & made it super ugly.
Pickups crapped out & I foolishly threw the guitar out. Dumbest thing I ever did relating to music.
We have all done things like that....I have had moments when i see one of the greats rip out a solo and i want to build a bonfire out of my axes.
When I was just starting out playing at jam nights I played badly enough on one occasion that I wanted to burn my guitar & amps & be done with it lol.
Thankfully, I never did such a stupid thing.
My axe for the last 10+ years is a lovely Godin with Seymour Duncan pickups & a 2 octave neck. I’ve beaten it to death over the years & it still stays in tune & sounds amazing. With a Peavey Delta Blues amp it’s a wonderful thing.
It does get sweeter with each passing decade, now about fifty years old. Passed mine along to my son and grandson as I no longer have room for it since becoming full time RVer.
