The only one.
Trump is very pro-American. More than any recent president.
Thank you Donald for saying, what so many of us are thinking. You will be a fine president.
You've got my vote.
No!
Irrational and irrelevant Trump-Hate!
Decade-old views!
Disconnected logic!
Irrational Trump-Hate summation!

The bigger question, should American companies that make stuff (anything) out of the country be prohibited from importing it back into this country? Would that drive the companies themselves out? would that artificially drive up the cost because of higher labor costs? It certainly would put more people to work, more demand, but that would drive up the price of labor too.
We now run a $342 Billion dollar / year trade deficit with China.
$342 Billion dollars.
And that is GROWING STILL.
Enough.
America needs to be for America once again.
“Trump is the only potential Presidential candidate I have seen, who is for American jobs.
The only one.”
He’s pretty good for jobs in Bangladesh, too. If he does what he does instead of what he says, the cost of stuff we buy is low, and we can afford more stuff, maybe it really will help create jobs in America, as well.
American jobs.
We need to focus on bringing back American jobs.
Trump is the only one, saying that. The only one.
“It certainly would put more people to work,”
People having jobs is the main thing. The rest is just details that can be worked out.
I would boycott any airline that buys a Chinese Boeing.
They can move to china but not south Carolina?I guess the commie NLRB cant get to boeing in china.Thats “messed” up Yo.
South Carolina isn't buying 300 737 airplanes. China is.
Businesses are meant to try and make profits. Perhaps more businesses should leave America and set up in China.
Perhaps we need a President who makes returning businesses to America an American policy.
Just saying.
I assume that Trump will get 99% support for his “No Boeing Factories in China” view here on FR.
I like Trump but I’m part of the 1% who thinks that we should’t have the Federal Government telling companies like Boeing how to run their business. It’s the libertarian in me I guess. It just feels wrong.
I also believe that people fail to look at the consumer side of the equation in cases like this. It true that if you punish Boeing for setting up a factory in China and force them to do more of their manufacturing in the U.S. that you will create more U.S. jobs. There is no disputing that.
But that process raises the price of airplanes that are bought by American airline companies. When you fly your ticket price is going to be higher because of that. And Boeing is going to be less competitive with their European competition because of those higher prices. How many contracts does Boeing have to lose before the gain in employment in the U.S. is wiped out completely?
Bottom line: You have to look at the total impact of letting the government rather than Boeing decide how to run Boeing. For me, the less government the better.
I'd rewrite that as "US jobs for US citizens". Moving factory production back to the US won't solve anything if the jobs are filled by invader labor.
When jobs are near where people live, those communities can come alive again. Also, bring schools back to communities, schools that were closed and the students shipped elsewhere because their lower-aptitude students got lower than norm scores (well, yeah!). If those two things happen, economic activity will grow around them and responsible adults will be in their communities becoming part of something positive in them.
It isn't rocket science. It seems that only Trump is taking that real-world perspective on how to begin to solve the problem of disenfranchised populations.
FWIW, watched part of the Town Hall with Senator Scott. Trump is the only one who's extremely comfortable about solving the problem of disenfranchised minority populations. Trump was extremely likeable and presidential dealing with an environment of mutual respect with Senator Scott. Can't help but wonder if that's Trump's ticket to earning a lot of the black vote.
Well, to be pedantic, China is buying access to Boeing's IP so that they can steal it in the future.
Not clear how many of US built 737s are to be finished in China: only the 300 China will buy, all 737s for the Asia market, or ALL 737s built by Boeing.
This article calls the Boeing plant for China a finishing plant. Other articles call it an assembly plant.
“South Carolina isn’t buying 300 737 airplanes. China is”
Right. That’s the rationale: offsets.
Except that’s not what the Free Traitor gang told us would happen.
They said China would build what they build best and buy high technology content items from us.
So now you say but NO, if they buy from us they also have to get the manufacturing of it as well.
So they aren’t buying anything. Merely importing a company and its technology.
China isn’t buying 300 jets if they get the plant to manufacture them. Boeing is merely selling a license to manufacture their design. They won’t own the plant, it’s Chinese. They will collect whatever premium the Chinese government - the Communists - decide they can.
And when the Chinese Communist thieves are done with them, the plant will be run by Chinese, staffed by Chinese, and the plans for the airplane will be owned by them.
So don’t call it “buying”. That ain’t what’s about to happen.
I disagree.
America’s government alone in the world, hasn’t involved itself in trade.
China’s has. Big time.
It is time to take our jobs back.
“Well, to be pedantic, China is buying access to Boeing’s IP so that they can steal it in the future”
THAT is exactly what is about to happen.
