What was even more unfair was the heathen Celts in Wales didn't know the Correct Date of Easter so unfair, so we occupied the Vail Of Glamorgan, so they had not an incorrect date to Celebrate the Resurrection.
;’) The British parts of my ancestry appear to be deep Anglo-Saxon (literally, near the Mercia-Wessex interface), and I suspect Celtic, with possible leavening from the wild assortment brought in during Roman times; the Welsh (not sure which kingdom, and for that matter, not sure that’s even true, but then, who would lie about it? That branch vanishes into undocumented a mere four gens back, but I haven’t tried that hard); the Scots (plus I suspect their Pict predecessors, plus another little taste of Roman variety); the Irish; beyond that, could be more.
