Ben Carson was asked last night whether or not illegals should ever get citizenship status in this country, and it sounds like he doesnt really have a position on it one way or the other:
This is what makes Carson different than Ted Cruz. While Cruz has said we should secure the border before entering into this debate on what to do with the 11 million illegals in this country, he has emphasized his own position, that he is completely against anyone who has come in illegally every being allowed to become a citizen.
Carson, on the other hand, sounds like he could go either way.
Little hint Ben, the answer is NO.
“Little hint Ben, the answer is NO.”
But he also needs the BIG MONEY people to support him...
A wishy-washy answer means that he is open to amnesty.
And this is why Cruz is so low, well one of the many reasons. He won’t answer. Carson seems to not have answer either. Another loser.
A week or two ago, Carson was talking amnesty.
I’ve been paying attention lately and have to ask, isn’t he kind of “sleepy”?
Waffling Walker found out where waffling leads.
Trump is leading because he is clearly on the side of the citizens.
yep I notice that too or perhaps he is under something beside sleepiness.
yes, he comes across that way doesn’t he? but he’s obviously a brilliant man with a keen mind. However, his rather gentle sleepy manner may be natural, or a product of working with kids for years?
Dr. Carson is , it seems to me, at heart a sympathetic caring person. So I think he tends to want to do the “nice” thing, rather than the tough thing.
And right now, we don’t need nice, we need tough.
He should add a cure for insomnia to his medical accomplishments. I can’t stay awake listening to him.
Can you imagine him sitting across the table from Putin?
Maybe he’d put Putin to sleep, too. :)
“...he (Cruz) has emphasized his own position, that he is completely against anyone who has come in illegally every being allowed to become a citizen.”
Some weeks ago, Megyn Kelly asked Cruz directly if he thought illegals already here should be given amnesty. He refused to answer the question repeatedly. That question was prompted by Trump saying that ALL illegals should be deported.
A Carson quote:
Is it moral for us, for example, to take advantage of cheap labor from illegal immigrants while denying them citizenship? Im sure you can tell from the way I phrased the question that I believe we have taken the moral low road on this issue. Some segments of our economy would virtually collapse without these undocumented workerswe all know thatyet we continue to harass and deport many individuals who are simply seeking a better life for themselves and their families.
Oh well...guess he got a couple of phone calls - like Scott.
Cruz has said that we have to secure the border first before any action will be meaningful or successful. I say enforce the law and deport them.
Very well said.
“Cruz has said that we have to secure the border first before any action will be meaningful or successful.”
Yes, that is the line. Only thing, Eisenhower sent back a million plus without a wall. Sending them back IS securing the border.
The “meaningful or successful” line is weasel words for amnesty.
The only reason that this is so is because we continue to pay large numbers of able bodied workers not to work.
Make it difficult for citizens to gain access to the welfare state and limit the time that they can receive welfare and we will not need these illegal aliens cheap labor.
And when they crashed the border, that WASN’T the low road.
But putting that all aside, send them back and re-admit ONLY those who leave their la raza BS behind and pledge to assimilate and become Naturalized, English speaking, EMPLOYED, self supporting American citizens within a time certain. No welfare. No freebies. And a large list of misdemeanors and felonies that will result in PERMANENT deportation along with any family members. You want to stay here, you walk the chalk.
