Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Here is my example with WFTD.
I saw this on Twitter yesterday as we were driving back from my niece's baby shower in Ohio and I could not stop crying thinking of this poor pregnant and bereft young woman. we really do not know how much time we have, and life can change irrevocably on an absolute dime. My heart breaks for her and her young daughter and unborn child.
No pushing at the door please!
Killary is bereft of any real accomplishments. The same could probably be said of Carly Fiorina, many would say.
good morning. Today is my only day in the actual office this week bc of the papal visit; traffic is going to be beyond insane, and metro, worse. So I may be scarce as I have a lot to get done.
I agree on Hillary, disagree on Carly. A+++
‘scuse me, which way to the men’s room?
Dat bereft.
Wimmens beright.
cute, sounds a bit asianish ; )A+++
Dat would bereft or belight.
LOL!
Looks like the papal visit has left you bereft of work!!!!
But many people who live and/or work in Manhattan are bereft of sanity!!!!
not work, just workplace! I will be teleworking this week to avoid the mass papal hysteria. My ofc is along the papal parade route so the building will actually be closed that day altogether.
A+++
It seems to be that the political left
Has a plank in their platform for theft
On the middle classes
They keep raising taxes
Of care for the working man they are bereft.
excellent! A++++
So does this mean you're going to be working from home?
Several of the days, yes, I will be working at home. I have been taking two days of leave per week to care for my baby grandson, during the month of September, as my daughter had to return to work and his daycare situation doesn’t begin until Oct. 5th. Weds and Friday I will be teleworking, this week.
You realize of course that by the time you’re supposed to retire, you’ll be too busy to do it.
And for gosh sake don’t let anyone know that you’ve retired. You will be beset by all kinds of time-usurpers, since you have “nothing to do”.
Start carrying a planner of some sort, and fill up every day with something. You could use last year’s.
Belate for your plane in China and you bereft behind.
The Pope has left Cuban disidents bereft after Castro lured them to the Cathedral on the pretense of meeting the Pope; instead they were beaten and arrested by Castro’s thugs. IMHO, the Pope should have gotten on his plane and left Cuba immediately, instead of going to another meeting outside of Havana!
haha! A+
