Yes to your points.

A concealed carry permit in NY, and in NYC is extremely rare.

And I like that he wants reciprocity across all 50 states.

If we can have reciprocity for an atrocity like gay marriage, we sure as heck should have it for an inalienable right.

I lived in Manhattan for several years in the 90s and carried every day that I didn't have to go into buildings with metal detectors {there were not as many 20+ years ago}.

I did not have a carry permit but there were 2,000 murders a year {about 5.5 a day, every day} in NYC in those days and walking the street or riding the subway was a life threatening experience.

Many people that I knew also carried without a permit. Today, because of all the metal detectors, I would be almost impossible to go any where.
