'If That's A Clock, I'm The Queen of England': Sarah Palin Attacks Muslim Schoolboy Ahmed Mohamed And Says He Was Asking To Be Arrested By ALEXANDRA KLAUSNER and MIA DE GRAAF 19 September 2015 |
Sarah Palin on Friday criticized Obama for inviting a 14-year-old Muslim teenager to the White House after his teachers accused him of building a bomb that was merely a homemade clock and who had him wrongly arrested.
Sarah Palin posted her controversial opinion on her Facebook page and slammed Obama and the 'reactionary-slash-biased media' for defending Ahmed Mohamed's 'dangerous wired-up bomb-looking contraption.'
'Yep, believing that's a clock in a school pencil box is like believing Barack Obama is ruling over the most transparent administration in history,' Palin wrote in the Facebook post in which she shared pictures of her kids' pencil boxes. 'Right. That's a clock, and I'm the Queen of England.'

We Have a WINNER!!!
I used to make my own PCB boards for various projects, and I wholeheartedly agree withyour assessment. This was othing more than an exercise. DEPORT THE WHOLE FAMILY
Because it sounds better to say COUNTDOWN clock than cheap, old alarm clock.
Here is the blog post from an engineer that the facebook post seems very similar to except the is no mention of countdown anything,
I am inclined to agree with you re: a suing plan.
I don’t really care what religion or ethninticty this kid is. If you bring something that looks like a bomb, like this did, to school you need to be detained. He!!, these days a kid gets in trouble for chewing a poptart into the shape of a gun. I actually applaud the school admin and police for their actions. Their job was executed perfectly...to protect all the kids in that school.
Did the kid have nefarious intent? I have no idea. He may just be a kid that is an inventor that operates on that “upper level atmosphere that I have never breathed” and has no common sense. For crying outloud...if you have a talent to invent, why a clock??? It’s not like we are not surrounded by clocks.
And now all of a sudden, there are 11 posts, all agreeing with DM, and all with 67 or more thumbs up, and few thumbs down.
It would seem popular opinion is on the side of Ahmed the Clock Builder after all. /s
Correction: Sold in the 1980s. The blogger updated his blog with that correction.
Tick...Tick...Boom!
And I’m the King of France.
Nope.... It is really a clock. And someone was able to figure out it was made by Radio shack. The guts were stripped from the original case and inserted in the box. Just as I stated a couple of days ago.

Would you lie to see who really invented the clock and what it really is supposed to look like.

You are so right.
:)
Fictional scenario:
Just WHAT do you think would happen to you if you brought that to English class, and it had a fuse burning?
And you told the teacher: "Oh that's my chemistry project! Sorry. Guess I brought it in for *that* class, but inexplicably brought it to English class. Didn't expect the fuse to light like that."
Teacher: "What IS it?" You: "Oh, a plumbing thing. Complex. You wouldn't understand..."
Great post. Thanks.
I hope American Standard starts sending me new bathroom fixtures. I will then tinker them. You know, “overclock” them to triple the water use.
Keep in mind that Mr. Davis confused a countdown clock with a 70s or 80s Radio Shack type clock. The point is that the kid didn’t invent a clock; he took a clock, disassembled it, reassembled it (somewhat), and put it in a suitcase where it resembles a bomb. The Texas school authorities and the police had every reason to be suspicious.
Amen!
Amen!!
I wonder if a black kid were to case mod a tv remote into a form that vaguely resembled a gun what would happen to him...
