The response to the mooselimb pestilence that I was pointing out was, ahem, not what I expected from pro-American Conservative activists. In their defense, that was before the picture of the device was widely publicized.

And now, because of the over-reaction, if this was all intended, instead of just being some geeky teenage fiddling with low-grade consumer electronics -- which is still strongly possible is all it was --- the kid goes to the White House, and momentum is gained against 'profiling' of Islamics, which profiling is the very thing which you say you support.
Congratulations. If this was deliberate, they played you for a fool, and had you knee-jerk reacting just like they would have wanted, causing you to shoot your own cause (which I have some amount of sympathy for) right in the foot!
