Meanwhile, as Trump promises to rid the country of illegal aliens within 2 years, Ben Carson wants to give them guest worker status, and defends his stance with the doubtful claim that enforcing immigration law would lead to paying $4 for a tomato because only foreigners from the Third World are willing to work on farms.
To the extent it is true that Americans are unwilling to work on farms despite the alarmingly low labor force participation rate, this is a matter to be resolved by reining in the welfare state, not by leaving the border open.
Conservatives may also have a hard time swallowing this:
Carson says he probably wouldnt have used deadly force against Michael Brown, the teenager whose fatal shooting by police Officer Darren Wilson sparked a national debate on race and the role of police.
Carson gave an interview to the Post-Dispatch on Friday afternoon after visiting Ferguson. When asked if he would have shot Brown if he were in Wilsons shoes, Carson said: Its hard to say. I probably, knowing who he was, I probably just would have arrested him.
Uh, Ben
A Justice Department investigation concluded that Wilson had reason to fear for his life and thus couldnt be prosecuted for fatally shooting the unarmed 18-year-old.
Suggesting that Darren Wilson had any choice is playing along with the liberal narrative that is, ignoring reality and thereby splashing gasoline on the fire.
Carsons heart is in the right place. He would make a great Surgeon General. But he does not appear to be the guy to undo Obamas damage as President
Trump clearly stated “they have to go” then said “the good ones” would be allowed back into the US “quickly”
Do you deny he said those things?
What I keep trying to point out is that Trump is NOT going to permanently deport and keep out 10’s of millions of illegals. At best he will build a partial wall and deport and then let back in quickly most of those he deported, but instead of being illegal they will then be legally here.
So how is that supposed to fix the problem of Hispanics taking over our country? If he just lets most of them back in “quickly” we will be worse off than we are now because then they will all (except the bad ones) be here legally.
Ben=Toast
This whole “unarmed black tenager” business is absolute crap. Martin, like Brown, was as fast and mean as a Black Mamba. Equipped with his speed, strength, and pure evil meanness, he was very well armed without anything else. Add in the concrete walkway and he was totally lethal. Carson is either a nitwit or a racist bigot.
“Not a dimes worth of difference.”
What a good post. The eyewitness said Trayvon was fighting mixed martial arts style. TM had a lot of practice. After his mother and father upended his world and destroyed the only stability he ever had, it looks like he turned to fighting and drugs. His actual complaint after one fight was that the other guy hadn’t bled enough. TM seemed to need that blood as part of why he fought. By the time Zimmerman had ‘ bled enough,’ he’d have been dead.
Sadly, the choices re Carson are just as you stated. What a disappointment.
Carson is clueless the real question is who put him in the arena to run is he another Obama with a R after his name.
A smattering of statistics can be teased out of data made public in other states heavily impacted by illegal immigration, although a full picture or apples-to-apples comparison remains elusive.
In Florida, there were 5,061 illegal immigrant inmates in state prison facilities as of June 30, but neither the state Department of Corrections nor the Florida Department of Law Enforcement track the number in county prisons, spokesmen for those agencies told FoxNews.com.
In Illinois, where state prisons house 46,993 inmates, some 3,755 are illegal immigrants, according to Illinois Department of Corrections figures. Once again, state officials do not compile figures for county jails, although a Cook County official estimated that nearly 6 percent were illegal immigrants.
In Arizona, neither state public safety officials nor the governors office could produce figures showing the number of criminal illegal immigrants held in county jails, but state prison figures released by the Arizona Department of Corrections show out of 42,758 prisoners held in state facilities in July, about 10.8 percent were illegal immigrants.
In California, there were 128,543 inmates in custody as of Aug. 12, but the state, which has been criticized for its leniency toward illegal immigrants, no longer keeps track of the citizenship status of inmates. As of July 31, 2013, the last time figures were documented, there were as many as 18,000 foreign-born citizens in California state prisons of 133,000 incarcerated.
