Munich (dpa) - A week before Munich's Oktoberfest begins, authorities are expressing concern about how the city will cope with the event's expected 6 million visitors, on top of the thousands of refugees currently pouring into the Bavarian capital every day.
Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann called for an increased deployment of federal police to assist local officers.
"If, during the evenings and at the weekend, festival visitors who have had a lot to drink run into as many refugees as we have had in recent days, things could get out of hand," he said.
The annual beer festival, billed as the biggest gathering of its kind in the world, kicks off on Saturday, when Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter ceremonially breaks open the first barrel, and ends on October 4.

Muslim invaders who want alcohol banned ... and are colonizing pretty much unchecked in a country that worships beer.
Dig out the popcorn. Hopefully, the Germans can get this year’s Oktoberfest out of the way before the “refugees” complain that they are “offended” by it. LOL!
The prudent thing to do is to shut down the festival since Muslim sensitives will be offended by seeing all that beer, bratwurst and beautiful German women not covered up...

Watch and see, folks. German is going to crumple and bow down to the dictates of these people. Oktoberfest will be cut back so as not to offend. Dress restrictions on the women will be imposed so as not to offend.

I see two possibilities. Maybe the leaders of the free world are this dumb. Either that or they're so arrogant that they can control any situation they create to work to their benefit.
I’ve heard that they won’t sell beer at this year’s Oktoberfest of our fear of offending their Muslim guests.

I was there in 07’ right after college and had a blast. Security is like attending any festival but with the influx of of these heathens, it will eventually lose it’s ambiance. Not immediately but as time passes...
It's both.
And the leaders of the Bavarian State are opposed to this "immigration" as the bulk of the "refugees" are housed there. It's also the entry point for all of Northern Europe.
Those in Berlin believe they can control human nature.
Tourism will take a big hit as many will stay home rather than go confront intolerant Muslims in Germany.

A million drunk Germans with heavy glass mugs could go a long way to cleaning up the Muslim problem in Munich if the authorities will hold back or help out. The invaders need to be driven back across the border with a lesson they won’t soon forget.
Beer, sausage, and muslims. The Krauts should stage a goat show several miles away just to be safe.
