If the owners would spay and neuter them, it would get rid of almost all the weird snap moments.

Cant fix stupid owners who deliberstely train them to be death machines.

As liberals they know that its when you do stuff, you get in trouble. When you do nothing, they cant pin anything on you.

And he should not have been.

Morgana for ex, is just as prolific and anti-abortion a poster as chet was to pit bulls, itsall she ever posts, but ony het got banned. Not that i want her banned, i do not; its just an example of banning double standards because enough people here hated what chet was doing and b1tched enough to get him tossed.

Whenever these threads pop up I wonder how many who post have ever had to go to the emergency room to get sewed up from dog bites. A lot of dogs can chew up an adult when they aren’t kidding around. Pit bulls can kill you.

The Death Roll comes if sufficient complaining reaches Mr. Robinson’s ears. I try to stay within bounds, but like an older friend of mine says, “Do you feel the rush, or do you feel the fear?” Lol!

It has been proven that neutering male dogs tends to make them more aggressive, not less, as removing ALL testosterone makes them more easily frightened as you are also removing their “confidence”, if you will.

Zeutering is the only truly safe way to go.

http://apbc.org.uk/articles/neuteringmaledogs

For some dogs, neutering is throwing gas on the fire and once it’s done, there’s no “fix” for the “fixing”.

dog bite victim and dog bite statistics

In the 10-year period from 2005 to 2014, pit bulls killed 203 Americans and accounted for 62% of the total recorded deaths (326). Combined, pit bulls and rottweilers accounted for 74% of these deaths. |

It might be a self-esteem issue.

Perhaps Neuticles would help:

LOL

Nope.

Most dogs fear bite, no matter what it may seem they’re really doing.

Totally an issue of self confidence.

I’ve had dogs [Dobes and Ibizans] who totally ignored the ranting yappiness of other dogs, since they knew *they* were truly alpha.

On the other hand, Odin, who was born with a severe case of hypothyroidism, was also deficient in testosterone, which the thyroid plays a role in maintaining.

Many dogs with low thyroid are not only sterile, they have utterly no interest in female dogs, at all.

When he was one year old, he “suddenly” became aggressive.

Immediately after his first snap and snarl, his butt was at the vet’s office within the hour.

The vet tried to talk me out of having a thyroid panel run since Odin was “too young” for hypothyroidism.

That is a myth.

His tests came back insanely low and he was started on meds that very day.

Within a few months of adjusting his dosage, he was normal, confidant and not snarl-snapping out of fear, any more.

*If* I were to neuter him, now, I’d not only be back to square one, he might even be unable to properly dosed with thyroxine anymore since he’d no longer have the beneficial testosterone working in synergy with it.

And I would have a 100 pound, very dangerous, unstable dog who, through no fault of his own, has no ability to control his own emotions and actions.

Nope.

Never happen.

Spayed female Dobes *excel* at ScH.

Guess why.

I had one spayed rescue, Merlin, who was not to be trifled with.

Sadly, most of rescue Ibizans were spayed and they exhibited many emotional issues that the unspayed bitches never had...along with lympomas, low thyroid, compromised immune systems and bitch fights, which are *much* worse than the male dogs’ posturing for dominance.

Bitches fight to kill, not win psychologically.

There is a movement to rethink the spay/neuter protocols and forward thinking vets are adopting them.

Other vets [and far too many people] will dismiss this, out of hand but ask any woman who’s had a total hysterectomy what life is like, later...or ask a castrated male

And yes, it’s pretty much the same for dogs, in spite of what “they” say.

Mammal biology is mammal biology.

“Bitches fight to kill, not win psychologically.”

I know that from experience. I’ll take your word about dogs.

It’s not for nothing we have the term “bitch fight”.

Males usually fight to establish dominance and then quit.

Pibbles [back on topic] have to be taught to “fight right” for the ring, where normal dog-to-dog ettiquette is abhorred and death is the desired result.

Otherwise, scum like Vick would not have those savagely brutal “training centers” for them and there would be no such thing as bait dogs.

Why are we seeing no photos of the woman or even reading her name?

“According to reports, a woman - who was arrested - unleashed the two dogs on 62-year-old Francesco Bove during an argument Friday in the Bronx.”

Ah, never mind.

I see the owner was the person in the droopy pants and basketball sneaks trying to grab the dogs.

To what purpose did she sic the dogs on the man?

If they put her(?) to sleep too, I guarantee these incidents would drop to zero, right quick.

According to what I have said, the woman said she had argued with the man, but the man said he had no words with the woman at all, and doesn’t know why she did it, and thought the dogs were friendly at first and then felt the first bite.

My guess is she did it because she is a lunatic moron.
