My analysis of the Beck situation was a piece posted in 2010, Plastique In The Foundation. While I described & assailed Beck's Martin Luther King rally, I refrained from attacking Beck by name, because he is usually Conservative, and I am not comfortable attacking other Conservatives--although no one could have had the slightest doubt, to whom I was referring.
I recognize that we can not expect uniformity--nor should we wish uniformity--in Conservative thought. Uniformity of thought is the goal of Marxists, Bolsheviks, Nazis, and other Leftist Totalitarian movements. But the inconsistency of anyone who claims to champion traditional American liberty, idolizing Martin Luther King, who looked to increased Federal dictation as the cure to all social & economic problems, can not be rationally justified.
Well said. And I agree and said earlier, I’m not completely anti-Beck. But it does seem like the Trump thing is driving him insane. He’s like someone that has a set idea of how things need to be. Both the results and HOW it needs to happen.
The worship of Martin Luther King by many conservatives is astounding, with Beck being chief among the lot. They’ve bought in hook, line and sinker to the MSM image of who he was, and completely ignore the fact that the man was at the very lease a socialist, again in his own words, and was a moral sleaze.
If I could say anything to Glenn Beck, I’d ask him if he’s ever considered that God could use Donald Trump. The Bible is full of examples from Baa-lam to Sampson, Solomon to Cyrus, From Caesar Augustus to Pilate of God using flawed and even pagan men to accomplish his will.
