Some single lions are responsible for killing as many as 70 villagers. Now guess what the villagers do to end their kids being mauled to death by lions? Another reason those in the area say “err what?” when asked about poor Cecil.
You cannot be serious.
The truth is Cecil was an old lion, at the end of his lifespan and whatever happens to his offspring would have happened when he died a natural death as well.
Another truth is the preservation of the lions and other animals there is paid for by hunters. Anyone that doesn’t believe those animals should be hunted needs to find another way to finance their preservation. To stop hunting without replacing the money it generates for the animals is to sentence the animals to death.
The man may or may not be a jerk but the money that he has spent on hunting trips has saved many of the animals, how many animals have those that condemn him saved?

I didn’t realize this guy had committed such a terrible crime against humanity. It sounds like he is worse than ISIS and has massacred innocent human lives.
I thought he had only killed a lion (for which he paid a lot of money into a poor area).
Maybe he will be righteously caught and sent to Guantanamo.
