Again, it was Bloody Mary. He didn’t down a Bottle of Southern Comfort. I have probably had a Bloody Mary when Dining out for Breakfast a few times in my Life. No biggie.
My 92 Year Old Father was / is an Alcoholic with 13 Years of Sobriety. I’m not much of a Drinker myself because I witnessed first hand the damage it causes to the individual and Family. My Older Brother is the same way. We saw it all.
This is completely overblown IMHO, but to each his own.
The man had just lost his job. It was 8 in the morning. He wasn’t out for brunch or on holiday. His first response to being fired was to get a drink....
Now if you had responded the same way I would still suggest that that behavior is not what most folks do..Glad your dad finally got sober. Hope he uses all the tools available to him
