The Eagles have released Tim Tebow, ending the former Heisman Trophy winner's bid to win the No. 3 quarterback job for Chip Kelly in Philadelphia, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Same could have been said for one of Tebow's predecessors at UF, Danny Wuerffel.
Here is pearl-of-wisdom. Most of us have had to be flexible in our wants and desires in order to succeed in this world.
I keep rooting for him, but in all honesty, I can't see him making it. But I would love for him to prove me wrong.

I don’t follow ball like I used to
What happened?
He’s big enough and was good in college
Gino Toretta syndrome
I didn’t realize that. thanks.
Stutter much?
He went 7-4 in the NFL...Same team had losing record before he took over. He three for 189 yards in 2 quarters with 2nd stringers to play with. Better stats them lets say Sanchez who truly sucks FYI
Agree! Im from Philly...Was so excited about team this year...However, now not watching...rooting against Kelly...Guarantee Bradford will be out by game 4 and Sanchez will suck just line last year...congrats 8-8 Eagles
That’s nothing
He will be on the Eagles practice squad if no one else picks him up.
It’s against nature for the Eagles to have anyone with class associated with them, players or fans.
Tebow has three full regular seasons on NFL rosters. He's ineligible for the practice squad.
Basically, he lacks the ability to read defenses and throw with anticipation. His athleticism and passion were enough to make him a GREAT college player. But, it takes more than that in the pros.
Still though, this move surprised me. Tim has played better in pre-season. When the Eagles traded away Barkely, I thought he’d made the team. I guess not. I suspect they’ll have him on speed dial....for when ( not if). Bradford gets hurt.

compare the preseason stats from these quarterbacks and tell me why Tebow isn't on a team.
out of the 6 teams and 21 QBs listed here, only 7 QBs rated better.
hell, the Bucs should pick him up IMMEDIATELY! our QBs are horrible
just look at #39 to see the stats in black & white
