So sorry for your loss. My husband was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2013 and since then he has undergone two major surgeries and had pleural effusions handled at least seven times, plus chemo and immunotherapy and experimental medicines. My dream is that 1) asbestos is banned everywhere, 2) the VA awards him his deserved 100% disability before he dies, and 3) that medical scientists develop nanobots that can be injected into anyone who has asbestos in their body to attack and capture the microscopic asbestos fibers and escort them out of the body thru urine or fecal matter. When anyone has this type of cancer they are never in remission, never going to get better. The asbestos fibers continue to attack the cells and cause the cancer to grow. We know that metastasized cancer is now the worst enemy to wait for. My husband’s faith, optimism and wonderful sense of humor to keep us both going. My faith sustains me nwhen I cry in the shower so he can’t know my sad moments. We have had our share of crying and we keep each other strong. We are strong Christians and keep ourselves going without family ( especially grandkids) and friends and church. My prayers will include you today as well. God bless you and give you peace.

John 17:20-26Loving Father, we..their FRiends, as praying intercessors for this man, entrust him to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed. Make skilled the work of the surgeon and that of his team for it is unto their knowledge and skill that we, as intercessors for her husband, give him for healing. That he may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around Him.Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, grant him the courageous, humble acceptance of the surgery which awaits him, and let this be the relief and cure which he and his family and FRiends seek. I pray you, Lord, that this procedure be without complications and that his recovery will be speedy and complete.
Heavenly Father, You know every fiber of our being and have willed that we were born. I beseech You, Lord, to guide the minds and hands of those who will operate on him so that he may be restored to health and well-being. Help us, Lord, to pray with all my heart and allow our burden of concern and anxiety and that of his family to be lifted up with the knowledge that You are with them now and always. And Lord, when he awakes from future treatments, take him and his family by your loving hand and guide them towards a life of thanksgiving and peace.
Lord of all, her dear husband is suffering, his family and friends are suffering, we ask to do what is right, good and best for them. As it fits your plan, heal him and mend his body and lovingly grant him days of better health and strength. As he awaits your grace and blessing please grant him and his family an extra measure of patience, endurance and perseverance. Lord we know You are able to heal. Grant him and his family the wisdom to understand Your timing.
