A small handful of prominent pundits and one politician are beginning to grasp that the GOP establishments concept of its present-day party base is inaccurate, insulting and most importantly hopelessly disconnected from the emerging political reality.

Hopefully something. I’m thinking it might be more than “Make America Great Again” coming from a conman.
At least Mr. Trump shows LEADERSHIP.
I appreciate Donald Trump, and I'll vote for him if he's the nominee. I see what he's doing. Nobody owns him, and he's utterly unafraid to speak his mind in a world full of people who are forced to walk on eggshells. Americans DIG that.
Cruz is still my first choice, though.
All I am saying is, both parties have completely lose sight of who is really supposed to benefit from things.
AMERICANS.
Yet we sell out America on every single issue. The border. Immigration. Globalism. All of it, weakens, not strenghtens America.
I don’t believe we’re focused on the wrong thing. This is EXACTLY the right issue.
Trump is completely on issue.
No. Trump is all about "the deal." Trump is offering us a "deal." We should trust him because he's not going to go back on the terms (positions) that closed the deal.
I have a feeling this is going to get ugly.
You can bet that the GOPe are not going to allow
those icky Tea Partiers to take over their party with out a fight. My best guess is, from now until the early primaries are finished, there will be the usual sniping and oh so civil Tut Tuting. But by March there will be all out war. Jeb and the two or three still running and their big money backers will have ads that make the Daisy Ad look like a promo for Sesame Street.
Then Trump and the Tea Party will be blamed for losing the White Hut, and the Senate. Plus the thirty or forty seats in the House. That is their contingency plan,, IF Trump loses. I fully expect him to win.
I have started to see less of HG. Either on vacation or has been warned by the AM to stay out of trouble.
Trump seems to have a base that transcends the Republican party. Your comment is an example of this. Haven’t see something like that before. If this is the case he maybe unstoppable.
...The entire base went Tea Party. No one, including the media wants to acknowledge it...
Not necessarily a good thing when considering many T candiates made promises for change and then sat on their hands after elected.
I think HG knows I’m not blog-pimping.
The GOPE KNOWS their time in POWER is coming to a close and Mr. Trump reflects this.
It's already ancient history. Nothing changed.
I pretty much put HG on ignore now. Not worth my time.
I do not believe that Trump could end up losing the WH. The Dems themselves are in BIGTIME trouble, with Hillary in regards to “servergate” and Bernie drawing in the crowds.
Trump could very win the WH.

And what has come of that?
Maybe Mitch gave Cruz a new committee slot? (/snix)
===================================================
Donald Trump has ignited America's visceral contempt for politicians. Cruz is strangely silent on his political doings----he has yet to highlight even one of the many Senate committees he serves on as a campaign credential......guess he knows the voters would see him as a political hack.

BGRND (WIKI)---Elected US senator in 2012---Canadian-born Cruz was touted as "the first Hispanic or Cuban American to serve as a U.S. Senator" representing Texas. He is the chairman of the subcommittee on the Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts, U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.[7] He is also the chairman of the United States Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness, U.S. Senate Commerce Committee.
Between 1999 and 2003, Canadian-born Cruz was the director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an associate deputy attorney general at the United States Department of Justice, and domestic policy advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign. He served as Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 to May 2008, after being appointed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.[8]
Cruz was also an adjunct professor of law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, from 2004 to 2009.[12][13] While there, he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation.[12]
Cruz, born in Canada, is one of three US Senators of Cuban descent.
Cruz was the Republican nominee for the Senate seat vacated by fellow Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison.[15] On July 31, 2012, he defeated Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst in the Republican primary runoff, 57%43%.[16] Cruz defeated former state Representative Paul Sadler in the general election on November 6, 2012. He prevailed 56%41% over Sadler.[16][17]
On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. (WIKI excerpt)
NOTE Cruz recently renounced his Canadian citizenship.

Cruz keeps pumping himself as a latino---a latino born in Canada? In fact, only Cruz's father is Spanish. His mother is the product of Irish and Italian parents. Cruz has dined out on his father's name, very willing to grovel for latino votes.
“Trump is all about “the deal.” Trump is offering us a “deal.” We should trust him because he’s not going to go back on the terms (positions) that closed the deal.”
Well said and oh so logical.
Well, for heavens sake, don’t wake him.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against Trump. I’m for Cruz but will certainly be all in for The Donald if he gets the nomination.
But Peggy Noonan is poison to conservatives. Caution is always advised whenever you find yourself agreeing with her.
nothing says Tea Party like TARP, auto union bail outs, Obama Stimulus....yeah, he’s real tea party thru and thru.
“Trumps the only one who gets it”
“Liberal” Trump gets it? Can pin point what the problem is. While our Conservative candidates act like the same old mushy “low energy” moderates. No vision, no inovation, no imagination, no love for America or legal Americans.
