My old house gets paid off this coming week, which is a real blessing. That puts us in pretty good shape. The only thing that could get us is taxes, and that takes a few years to play out. Besides, if things get that bad everyone will be being evicted. At that point most bets are off anyway.
If everything gets real bad, the entire financial structure will collapse and barter will be the coin of the realm.
