All it took was hearing the opening strains of Christopher Cross profound, Sailing online at SiriusXMs new Yacht Rock channel online before bookmarking it on the computer. It was already locked in on the car radio. The station programming two-week trial began Aug, 21 at 5:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM Channel 31. The good news is that it is a featured channel all the way through Labor Day weekend. The bad news is that, currently, thats when it ends, too.
If you love the music of Christopher Cross, Toto, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Player, and more, this is the only SiriusXM channel youll be playing for the next two weeks...

They just played "Hearts" by Marty Balin.
I never thought of it like that before but this is a perfect Yacht Rock tune.

I’m thinking my dog likes Yacht Rock because whenever I turn Ch. 31 on, my dog comes over and lies beside the stereo speakers.

Let me ask you, what is the top pop song of 2015?
Would it be...Something Horrid?
Oops, you were wanting a song title, not the genre, my bad, sorry.
Sam's channel pick here, has a bit of that too maybe?

Thanks to all the Freepers, Sirius XM is going to EXTEND the Yacht Rock channel to September 22nd. It was due to end September 7th. This is due to popular acclaim and the fact that many people here on this forum have decided to tune in.

"Yawn..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......and I have a 21 foot yacht."
Twenty-one feet qualifies as a yacht?
Shouldn't a yacht be at least partially closed in ?

Are they bringing Yacht Rock back this summer? I’ve been enjoying the Billy Joel channel (18) the last couple months.

It's almost time for Yacht Rock ping!
For me, "Yacht Rock" season starts on Independence Day weekend and runs until Labor Day. But I'm willing to start a little early.
