My Grandfathers parents came from Norway, but he never learned Norwegian. English only, except for saying “ja” instead of yes. My mom says it, too. Even I do occasionally.

You may want to adjust your assumption about someone’s working and not accepting the dole. There are more than just a few working AND taking the handouts as a well. This is not limited to persons of color either.

I was at Disney World in February, traveling alone, and occasionally stopped to ask someone if they would take my picture in front of a Disney landmark. No kidding — I usually had to ask a few times before I found someone who spoke English.
We could start by not having taxpayers pay for gov’t mandated interpreters for services. I used to teach ESL to adults and it was amazing how long some of those people lived here and still didn’t know basic survival English.

I had an incident at a Jack in the box, ended up me loudly telling the help they needed to learn English. You could have heard a pin drop in there. Then I called the corporate office and complained. They just sent me coupons for free food.
A lot of Hispanics fought on our side in Texas and California, so I don’t think wiping out history is a good idea.
I usually just hang on and it usually comes back to English. Didn’t work when I called the IRS.
California has hundreds of Mexican names.
As a child I lived for several years in El Toro, and before that Mission Viejo.
After that, San Mateo county.
It would be quaint if not for all the mexicriminals infesting the state.

I was at a wedding in San Antonio and sat next to an old Mexican who spoke no english despite having snuck into America in the 1940s.
I found that repulsive and the antithesis of what makes us great.
He and all like him must be excreted if we are to survive as a culture and a Nation.
If I moved to a foreign country the first thing I would do is learn their language. I would not dream of demanding interpreters, in order to get free benefits of all things. That is just total disrespect for the taxpayers. We are just stupid.
