Bobby Jindal Hits Scott Walker: It Is Frankly Shocking That a Republican Candidate for President Would Author a Cradle to Grave Plan Like This
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal strongly criticized Scott Walkers health care proposal on Tuesday, accusing his GOP rival of endorsing the fundamental underpinning of Obamacare.
In a health care plan that is light on specifics, Governor Walker endorsed the fundamental underpinning of Obamacare the notion that America needs another entitlement program, Jindal said in a statement.
Jindal argued that Walkers plan In Governor Walkers plan creates a new entitlement for every single American human being from the time they are born right up until they grow old and become eligible for Medicare.
It is frankly shocking that a Republican candidate for President would author a cradle to grave plan like this, he added.
Jindal asserted he has already laid out a conservative plan to repeal and replace Obamacare without a new federal entitlement program. He said his plan focuses on driving down the cost of health care by embracing free market reforms.
When did conservatism die? When did we accept the idea of dependence on government? Governor Walker is confused here, the Louisiana governor said.
Walkers plan for replacing President Barack Obamas health care law would extend refundable tax credits to help pay for private health insurance based on age instead of income, restructure Medicaid and allow people to shop for insurance across state lines.

The Wisconsin governor provided details of his proposal to The Associated Press in advance of a Tuesday speech in suburban Minneapolis where he was to outline his first major policy initiative of the presidential campaign.
Walkers plan does not include cost figures or an estimate of the number of people who would be covered, making it nearly impossible to compare with current law. For the period from April to June of this year, 11.4 percent of U.S. adults were uninsured, which translates to about 16 million people gaining coverage since the rollout of Obamas health care law in 2013.
Walkers campaign said the plan would be paid for by eliminating $1 trillion in taxes that are levied under the current law and by making other changes to Medicaid and how health insurance is taxed.
Truthfully, he doesn’t sound bright when he speaks.
Maybe it’s the Midwesterner in him, but he slows down weirdly on words as if either he or his audience as he understand it is barely comprehending what he’s sayings.
Bobby, of course, runs circles around him.
The first thing I thought of when I read the Walker comments on his plan was that it sounded just as bad as Obamacare. I guess he thinks Walkercare sounds better, but it is still a nightmare.
oh crap....that’s gonna start some sh-t.....LOL
When will Jindal take aim at the Republican who thinks Scotland and Canada have fantastic health care systems?
Truthfully, he isn’t that smart. I don’t think we need this 2.59 grade point “C” student running the country. It’s going to take someone way above average to get us out of the mess we’re in.
Single payer is coming sooooooon
A free market solution is what Trump is supporting, with the opportunity for competition to bring down prices.
I’m beginning to wonder just who really is running Wisconsin.
Maybe Walker can run as Sanders VP.
So Jindal is a dishonest socialist like the rest.
For someone who you say isn’t that smart, he sure beat the pants off all your liberal friends and causes.
No, Walkercare sounds like a relabeled Obamacare.
I don’t have any liberal friends and causes, but if you think Walker would have gotten anything done without the GOP legislature carrying his water, you are seriously wrong.
They have carried him all the way.
Give him a week, he will : )
Yes, we need 500% More H1-B Cruz and his work permits for illegals!!
Cruz is a TRUE conservative who helps Obama with Iran and unconstitutional trade powers.
For someone who claims to have no liberal friends and causes, you sure talk their language, tell their lies, and behave like they do.
I didn’t write the article. I see you still can only take the lame position of attacking the messenger.
Maybe he has. But who's listening?
Scott the horse is dead. Get off.
