What kind of celebration did Christ participate in, lead, or attend on Resurrection day? None.
Easter derived from the Resurrection.
The judeo christian era turned the ancient world’s symbols and timing on their head. They layer one on top of the other.
For example the snake in the prejudeo christian world is a symbol of life. But in the judeo christian world — except for one exception—the snake is the symbol of the devil.
imho You may be right that its no coincidence that the timing of celebrations in the judeo/chrisitian tradition coincide with celebrations in previous primitive cultures of the mideast.
But the traditions themselves have very different contextual meanings for their celebrations.
Agree too that the easter bunny is more to do with pagan tradition than anything else. Same with halloween.
The moslem world did physically what the judeo christian tradition did in time and symbolism. The Moslems liked to build their mosques on the site of flattened temples of cultures they conquered. Al saqua in Jerusalem is not the only example of this.
All that said, imho the God of the bible is the only wise God and indeed the true God of history.
you are free of course to beg to differ, but I would hazard that your view does not come from a close read of the bible, but rather from an “all civilizations are equal” survey courses in ancient civilizations you get in college.
