I suppose that people with more romantic dispositions are more prone to “heartbreak,” and as a rule women are more romantic in nature. It’s certainly a weakness, speaking myself as a man and a hopeless romantic.

In my experience “breakups” are hardest on the one who did not initiate the breakup. It doesn’t matter if it is male or female. The sense of betrayal is always hardest on the recipient, not the initiator.
