Its probably anti woman and bigoted somehow to say this study makes sense based on our observations.

A brief romantic encounter could lead to nine months of pregnancy followed by many years of lactation for an ancestral woman, while the man may have 'left the scene' literally minutes after the encounter, with no further biological investment. cut//
the man will likely feel the loss deeply and for a very long period of time as it 'sinks in' that he must 'start competing' all over again to replace what he has lost

I suppose that people with more romantic dispositions are more prone to “heartbreak,” and as a rule women are more romantic in nature. It’s certainly a weakness, speaking myself as a man and a hopeless romantic.

Unless the study controls for who initiated the breakup, it is of little value.

Yes of course because men and women are both equally forthcoming when it comes to talking about their feelings. It's kind of like conservatives and liberals when talking to pollsters over the phone. I hang up.

In my experience “breakups” are hardest on the one who did not initiate the breakup. It doesn’t matter if it is male or female. The sense of betrayal is always hardest on the recipient, not the initiator.
