I thank you in advance for sending up a prayer for my cousin. On his vacation with his wife, he fell in the night in his hotel room (not from his bed, not in the bathroom) and was unconscious when his wife, awakening from sleep, heard the thud of his fall. He was rushed to the hospital where they found way too much blood in the brain to operate. They have him now in a medical coma and it has been several days.
He now has an infection in his lungs and blood that they are treating with antibiotics. He is in his 50s and was in great shape. The whole family is just beside ourselves.
Also if anyone has experience with these things please feel free to share on the thread as well. I have asked if the docs think it was an aneurysm because I don't understand how a fall in a carpeted hotel room could cause that much of a bleed. In a middle aged fit man who had not been drinking or anything - who falls that hard?
Thank you for your prayers for him.
It’s a terrible thing, and all too familiar to many, including I’m sure the doctors and staff that are treating him.
May God grant his successful recovery. Amen.
I’m sorry, Yaelle, to hear this. My prayers will be for your cousin and for you and his family. May it please God to bring healing and recovery to your dear one and peace to your house.
(prayer) Thanks for posting, Yaelle. Sheesh.
Prayers for your cousin and his wife and family.
Saying prayers for your cousin and family
Thanks. And of course thanks to everyone else contributing prayers.
The doctors do say things like “this is very common,” re the infections. When my other cousin told me this news today I really feared, but the doctors see it a lot in TBI patients.
How much we all take for granted, and how lucky are all of us who CAN take things for granted.
Thank you all. Sadly my cousin has passed away. This is a stun and a shock to us all. Prayers for his bereft wife and young adult sons welcome.
I love you Friends. Life is short. :(
I am so very sorry. Praying for his family and loved ones.
Prayers.
I’m so sorry to hear this. You and your family are in my prayers.
