I can’t remember when the last time was that I used a land line phone. I can afford that or a cell, but not both, so I opted for the cell(ular) (mobile) because there are times when I don’t want to wait to get home before I get messages.

And when I need a new phone, I wait till the company has a sale on the spendy ones, and get the new one for pennies on the dollar.

Internet access has a habit of coming with a landline contract from your ISP.Regardless of who you go with.
The Major National provider of Landlines and Exchanges now has a Cellphone/Landline single contract.
If you are on their network as an Internet user the National Network of WiFi hot spots is free to use.
Getting away without a land line is nearly impossible.
