Yes, oft-times it is difficult to distinguish between good satire and political speech.
For instance, saying "Obama is a non American America hating muslime with anti-Israel and globalistic communist world view who delights in fomenting discord while implementing jihadist 'death to America' policies. Not to mention that he's either horrendously incompetent or treacherously treasonous." falls into the genre of satire.
On the other hand, saying "Obama is either horrendously incompetant or treacherously treasonous because he's a non American America hating muslime with anti-Israel and globalistic communist world view who delights in fomenting discord.." could be construed by the left as political speech.
Note the subtle difference. ;-)
By either perspective however, both statements are true...
