Good afternoon catfriends,
Been offline yesterday with a bad infection, saw the doctor and on antibiotics. Should be my old self in a day or two.
All I want to do is sleep.,I’m even missing Yom Kippur evening dinner with the family. The antibiotics and low grade temp makes me just want to sleep.
Tomorrow is a holiday, so I’ll be back Thursday morning.
She just noticed another batch of dishes to wash.
Have a good holiday. I hope you feel better quickly!
Is that what you asked the doctor for?
When I go to the doctor and he tells me I’ll be back to my old self I tell him if that’s what I wanted I wouldn’t have come to him. He’s supposed to make me into a new and improved self.

I got a few things done today, but I suddenly got depressed and didn’t want to do anything but eat. GAH!!!
And nothing sweet in the place. I wanted to make some cookies, but I have no flour. I have everything else, though...
It’s just one of those days, I guess; I don’t want to make that long drive through traffic in the morning (at least an hour) but it would take me that long on the freeway at rush hour, and I would still need to fight at least two miles worth of stop lights.
Then Thursday or Friday, I will have to go back downtown to pick up my new prescription for morphine. My right ankle is telling me there is rain on the way, and the morphine doesn’t make this pain go away, so I have to take Ibuprofen. *sigh* I need to get some more of that, along with the Gabapentin and the steroid, soon.
No wonder I’m depressed. And the radio in the truck doesn’t work, either...
I often wonder what life would be like if I didn’t have to pretend like I was po’ folk. :o| You know...things like having a home of my own, a fairly new vehicle with working A/C and enough extra money to get my hair cut and nails done periodically. You know, things that would make me feel like a person of worth once in a while.
So I’ll hang out for about 30 minutes and then trot off to bed. There’s not much sense staying here and depressing all my FRiends.

Which then had a horribly funny mental montage run through my head of our feline overlords, a cat pointing with a paw and commanding “Meow!” and the humans standing around trying to figure out what the decree actually was.
