*ouch*
I have a folding leaf-type water repeller in the truck and one in my backpack, so I’m always prepared!
Wouldn’t that be “be prepeared?”
The Wigs.
Moose, I just blew coffee all over my iPad. Dang!
:)
Thank you for the ball of floof
I propose a new subject here. Floofy Friday.
I think teaching a person a skill is one of the most useful things anyone can do. And you do computer skills tutoring for the Undead, too!
Bill said he didn’t care for math tutoring.
The trouble with tutoring math is it thinks it knows everything and won’t listen.
Glad to hear you’re okay Face.
Watched the storm turn ,’it did a 90 ,on the weather radar moments after posting to you last night, and thought “ oh cr@p that’s now headed face’s way....duck and cover face! “
I notice that your power was amongst the first to be restored....they know which side their bread is buttered! :)
Morning Gefn. :)
Oops, sorry.
Just don’t let the fluid get in around the home button. The screen in a demon to remove.
Oddly enough, the power in this complex didn’t go out, though I expected it to, as there were several flickers. It would have been the first to be fixed because so many people here need the power for medical things.
It was, indeed, a nasty storm, and the thunder lasted for two hours. Once it got here, it just didn’t want to move on. I couldn’t see the building next to me because it was raining so hard.
At least my truck is really clean! LOL!
It was nasty for sure. They are still working on restoring the 27 light poles that went down, so hopefully, the residents who had to go to the shelter will get to go home by noon. NVEnergy is good about getting out and getting things done, but we can expect a rate hike soon...
Yes, I’m OK, Moosie! :o]) *hug*
All washed off!
I missed my pain management appointment this morning. I kept thinking there was something I was supposed to do and I just looked at my calendar and looked at my clock and I had an appointment at just that time. *sheesh*
I was lucky and got through to the front desk, when usually, the operators have to send an email for them to call the patient. So my new appointment is Tuesday at 0820. Dang.
I just got side-tracked by the other thing I’ve been working on and the appointment went clear out of my head. GAH!
Happens to everyone. At least you were able to get another appointment soon.
A little sprayed on car shampoo before the storm is worth remembering.
Also washing the car in the rain ....the neighbours think you have a screw loose, but they are bored waiting for the rain to stop and your car is washed. :)
We used to do that during water rationing.
I remember my great-uncle Frank saying that when there was a heavy rain back in the 30s, that was when everyone would go outside to shower and “warsh their heads.”
Diesel now only $8.28 a gallon.
The lowest in a decade.
Those are good thoughts, but I suspect by the time we have a storm like this again, I will have forgotten what you said...Just because the weather prognosticator says “rain” this is the desert, and although we got a nasty storm, other parts of the valley were dry, or only got a few sprinkles.
It’s beautiful when we have the light shows...and the air smells so fresh!
But mostly, we just get enough rain to turn the dust on the vehicles into mud drops...and they dry almost immediately. :o]
It’s about $2.55 here, a little more than regular unleaded.
She was very nice about it, but I have to keep the one Tuesday, or the doc won’t give me another prescription for morphine.
